Hello, Foodie Friends!

I've been very, very neglectful of my recipe writing adventures here at Foodie in Minnesota because I've been travelling, running, being a mom, being a wife, cooking at Whole Foods, running, traveling, gardening, preserving, and so so so many other things! Farmer's Market Tour & Kitchen Meal

In this fun new class students will tour the Buffalo, MN farmer's Market, learn how to decipher great produce from just plain good, then purchase interesting produce which they would like to learn how to cook with, then head to Buffalo Community Center to cook a light lunch using their finds. Meet in front of the Buffalo Movie theater before you head over to he Farmer's Market.

Knife Skills 101

In this class students will learn the basics of using and caring for your knife. We'll practice fine chopping an onion then graduate to filleting a whole chicken. You can bring your own kitchen knives or feel free to purchase a knife through a kitchen equipment retailer. An 8" chef's knife and 7" fillet knife are recommended for class use. Students will also need to bring a large cutting board. Monday, October 17th 6-8PM $65 Register HERE

Lefse Making Party

You will learn to make these yummy Norwegian holiday treats will experienced lefse makers. Learn the finer points of making, baking and storing these special treats. Plan to sample your freshly made and warm creations with sample fillings. Take home finished lefse to share with family and friends. All supplies included.
